55' Katie Reid has been absolutely superb at centre-back up against Malard. Composure, strength and calmness on the ball. 0-0
50' Superb recovery tackle to deny Malard by Catley, who was the wrong side of the striker there. 0-0
46' The second half is underway. 0-0
Arsenal are back out first for the second half, unchanged.
Arsenal haven't quite got it right tactically yet. I'm not sure the Blackstenius selection has worked- she's usually all about stretching defences and running in behind but United are deep and Arsenal's attacks are coming down the flanks.
I don’t think either side will feel pleased with neither really getting going in this first half. Olivia Smith rattled the crossbar but Arsenal haven’t created enough, with little service for Stina Blackstenius.
Half time: Man United 0-0 Arsenal.
45+2' Chance! Foord cuts inside and shoots wide of the near post. 0-0
45+1' Two minutes are added on. 0-0
44' Little with a floated cross towards the back post and Smith heads wide. 0-0
42' Russo is played through by Blackstenius and gets a shot away, drawing a save from the goalkeeper. 0-0
39' Arsenal are really targeting United's left side and looking to deliver crosses into the box through the likes of Smith. 0-0
37' Arsenal's corners are causing problems but the Gunners haven't been able to capitalise yet in the box. 0-0
32' Two United players are down in separate incidents and the referee halts the game, much to McCabe's fury. Both sides will go over to the dugouts for some instructions. 0-0
30' United break through Park, who finds Zigiotti and Malard gets past Reid, who then is back goalside and is adjudged to have been fouled. That does not go down well with the home fans. 0-0
29' Foord heads behind at the near post from an Arsenal corner. 0-0
26' Van Domselaar is called into action as a United corner is flicked back towards goal by Little and pushed away by the goalkeeper. 0-0
20' Now Smith wins Arsenal's first corner of the game. It's cleared away and Mariona tees up Smith, and her effort smashes the crossbar! 0-0
19' Smith with a burst of pace and a low delivery from the right that Tullis-Joyce clings onto. 0-0
17' Fox's low cross is flicked on by Blackstenius, who's just starting to get into the game. United are able to clear upfield. 0-0
13' How was that not 1-0 to the home side? van Domselaar fumbles a cross, Toone's shot is blocked by Reid and then van Domselaar saves again! 0-0
13' Malard drives infield off the wing and looks for Toone but that's fantastic awareness from Olivia Smith to nip in front of her and clear. 0-0
11' Russo spins away from her marker on the byline and fires in a cross, which is cleared away. A frenetic start to this game. 0-0
9' Applause in the 8th minute in memory of the late Maddy Cusack. 0-0
7' Good football from United as they play through the lines and Park drives towards the box, where she's brought down fairly by Steph Catley. 0-0
6' Zigiotti finds Toone in the box and Russo is back to intercept her pass. Little then gets to the England forward's low cross as United enjoy a good spell. 0-0
4' United are looking to go direct and use Malard's pace in behind- this will be a stern test of 18-year-old Reid. 0-0
1' Just 40 seconds in and van Domselaar has to stand tall to save from Malard at her near post. Nearly the worst possible start. 0-0
1' Underway! 0-0
A beautifully observed minute's silence. Cards in the away end spell out "We love you Beardy".
Here come the teams to the tune of the Stone Roses!
Arsenal manager Renee Slegers paid tribute to Matt Beard, speaking to BBC Sport: "All very shocked and saddened by the sad news we got last night. I met him a couple of times, such a warm man. Hearing from everyone who knew him, what he meant to people, how much he cared, it's really sad."
Fans will applaud in the 8th minute in memory of Maddy Cusack, and in the 47th for Beard. It's a tough day for many involved in women's football on and off the pitch- players, coaches, and my colleagues in the media all enjoyed Beard's company.
There will be a minute's silence before kick-off to remember legendary WSL manager Matt Beard, who tragically lost his life on Saturday. Both sides and sets of coaches will wear black armbands.
Boos from the home fans for Alessia Russo's name as the lineups are read out.
We're set for a bumper crowd at Leigh Sports Village, possibly the largest one yet for United Women here. The current record was also set in a game against Arsenal.
Arsenal will enjoy their own reunions with Lyon, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, having met all of those sides in their run to European glory last campaign.
United beat Leicester City and London City Lionesses 4-0 and 5-1 to start the season, and had to come back from 1-0 down to beat Norwegian outfit Brann to qualify for the Champions League. They'll face the likes of Lyon, Wolfsburg and PSG, bringing a reunion with Mary Earps.
Marc Skinner's programme notes: "We'll need to be resolute in our defending, and show our togetherness to defend as one. In attack, we've scored nine goals in our previous two league games so we'll need to continue our ruthless streak to take another three points."
Elisabeth Terland scored a hat-trick against Brann on Thursday night to confirm United's place in the Champions League for the very first time, but the Norwegian is replaced by Fridolina Rolfo. Melvine Malard starts upfront.
Jenna Nighswonger is again not involved in the squad at all, as a puzzling saga continues. The USA full-back was signed in January but one can only imagine will be off in the New Year, particularly with Arsenal bringing in Taylor Hinds this summer.
Stina Blackstenius starts upfront for Arsenal with Alessia Russo in the ten. Olivia Smith replaces Beth Mead, and Frida Maanum drops to the bench.
United subs: Middleton-Patel, Rendell, George, Anderson, Griffiths, Naalsund, Terland, Williams.
Manchester United: Tullis-Joyce; Le Tissier, Miyazawa, Sandberg, Rolfo; Bizet, Janssen; Park, Toone, Zigiotti Olme; Malard.
Arsenal subs: Zinsberger, Wubben-Moy, Codina, Hinds, Cooney-Cross, Pelova, Maanum, Mead, Kelly
Arsenal: Van Domselaar, Fox, Reid, Catley, McCabe, Little (C), Mariona, Russo, Smith, Foord, Blackstenius.
The winner will go top of the table, and the teams are as follows...
It's 2nd v 3rd in the WSL on gameweek three, with Chelsea top after beating Leicester City 1-0 earlier.
Good afternoon and welcome to a sunny Leigh Sports Village on what is a big day for Arsenal, with the Women and Men facing Mancunian opposition.
