Michelle Agyemang to miss the rest of the season with ACL injury

The Arsenal academy graduate has torn her Anterior Cruciate Ligament and will now spend months on the sidelines




Arsenal have confirmed that Michelle Agyemang suffered a ruptured ACL whilst on international duty with England. 

Agyemang’s injury occurred during England’s 3-0 win over Australia in which she was a 62nd minute sub.

She was stretchered off after going down injured just before the 80th minute. 

Currently on loan at Brighton, the young forward will miss the rest of the season as she recovers from the injury.

Brighton's media team released a statement about Agyemang's recovery plan:

"Michelle will miss the remainder of the season and we are in contact with her parent club Arsenal and will work together to determine a treatment and rehabilitation programme for Michelle."
