David Raya: 7.5/10 - Excellent early distribution to put backpedalling Forest under pressure in wet conditions.
Jurrien Timber: 7.5/10 - Dovetailed well with Saka along the right flank on his return. Replaced by Jakub Kiwior late on with the match won and a clean sheet
William Saliba: 7.5/10 - A majestic performance in quelling Forest’s attacking threat from Taiwo Awoniyi
Gabriel: 7.5/10 - Arsenal’s King of Brazil gave another solid and reliable performance in challenging conditions
Riccardo Calafiori: 7.5/10 - Such a powerful presence at left-back before being replaced by Alex Zinchenko midway through the second half
Jorginho: 7/10 - Swapped at half time by Thomas Partey after picking up a first half yellow card with boss Arteta refusing to take any risks
Mikel Merino: 7/10 - Always involved even if not always easy on the eye
Martin Odegaard: 8/10 - Wonderful to have the Arsenal captain back in the starting line-up at the Emirates. Shone brightly on a dank and dark afternoon and was at the heart of everything good attacking wise that the team created. Deservedly earned a hearty round of applause for his efforts when switched late on for Ethan Nwaneri
Bukayo Saka: 8/10 - Another outstanding strike from the outstanding 23-year-old to set Arsenal on their way after only 15 minutes against an obdurate Forest side. Also deserved his standing ovation when swapped for Raheem Sterling late on
Gabriel Jesus: 7/10 - Worked hard throughout. Was unlucky to see a first half curler fly narrowly the wrong side of the far post
Leandro Trossard: 7/10 - Forced an excellent near post save from Forest keeper Mats Sels and was generally a thorn in the visitors side
Substitutes:
Thomas Partey: 8/10 - Made an immediate impact when replacing Jorginho at the interval when firing home a superb long-range effort that flew past Sels for 2-0
Alex Zinchenko: 7.5/10 - Fresh from a superb performance for Ukraine against Albania in Tirana this week that saw the Arsenal defender score to lead his country to Nations League play-offs, the 27-year-old came on for Calafiori midway through the second half
Ethan Nwaneri: 8/10 - Swapped for Odegaard with the match won and scored shortly afterwards as the crowd sang: “He’s one of our own…”
Raheem Sterling: 7/10 - On for Saka
Jakub Kiwior: 6.5/10 - Came on for Timber late on
