Arsenal lost 1-0 to Porto after a 94th minute long-range strike by Galeno.

Just as Mikel Arteta's side looked set to be taking a goalless draw back to the Emirates for the second leg of this Champions League Round of 16, up stepped the home side's 26-year-old Brazil forward to fire home from around 25 yards to beat David Raya at the far post.

Find out who impressed at the Estadio Dragao on Wednesday evening wiht our Gooner Fanzine Player Ratings

Player ratings:

David Raya 5/10

Watched two efforts from Galeno somehow fail to find the back of the net in quick succession. At full stretch for Galeno’s winning goal.

Jakub Kiwior 5.5/10

Continued his run in the side in the absence of Oleksandr Zinchenko. Yellow carded in the second half.

Gabriel 6/10

One of Arsenal's better performers on the night.

William Saliba 6/10

Made some important tackles at the back

Ben White 5.5/10

Struggled at right-back up against the dangerous Wenderson Galeno.

Declan Rice 5/10

Booked just two minutes into the action. Should have done more to close down Galeno, who was unopposed to bend the ball past Raya in the final moments of the game.

Leandro Trossard 5/10

Missed a good opportunity in the second half when he fired Rice's corner over the crossbar. Replaced by Jorginho with 16 minutes remaining.

Martin Odegaard 5.5/10

When Arsenal's captain is far from his best, so are his teammates, it seems.

Gabriel Martinelli 4.5/10

Off the boil in attack, and a frustrating error to give the ball away for Porto's goal.

Kai Havertz 5.5/10

Part of an Arsenal attack which failed to register a shot on target.

Bukayo Saka 5/10

Lively at times but without the cutting edge that Arsenal needed.

Jorginho (Sub, 74’) 5/10

The only change made by Mikel Arteta, who left the likes of Nketiah, Smith Rowe and Nelson waiting on the bench.

Subs not used: Aaron Ramsdale, Karl Hein, Emile Smith Rowe, Eddie Nketiah, Cedric Soares, Fabio Vieira, Reiss Nelson, Mohamed Elneny, Ethan Nwaneri, James Sweet, Ayden Heaven.
