Arsenal extended their lead at the top of the table to eight points after a 4-1 victory over Crystal Palace at the Emirates.

The Gunners took control in the first half, scoring twice before the interval thanks to goals from Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka.

Mikel Arteta's side didn't take their foot off the gas as Granit Xhaka scored just after the restart.

A goal from a corner from Jeffrey Schlupp denied Arsenal of a clean sheet, but all was forgotten about as Saka claimed his brace later in the half.

Here are our player ratings from the match-up at the Emirates:

Aaron Ramsdale: 6.5 - Did what he needed to do, a shame to concede but a strong performance when required.

Olexsandr Zinchenko: 6 - Didn't have too much to do, was subbed off in the 65th minute for rest.

Rob Holding: 6.5 - A solid performance from the centre back who did all that was asked of him when replacing Saliba.

Gabriel: 6.5 - As solid as always, didn't have too much to do today and was given a rest for the first time this season.

Ben White: 8 - Fanastic going forward and tracking back, grabbed an assist and linked up so well with Saka out wide.

Granit Xhaka: 7 - As reliable as always in midfield, scored again this week, looks to be loving the advanced role.

Thomas Partey: 6.5 - Did all that was asked of him, a pivotal player in Arsenal's midfield.

Martin Odegaard: 6.5 - Intricate passing around the pitch, got into some good positions but allowed the wingers to do the talking today.

Gabi Martinelli: 7.5 - Scored a fantastic opening goal and was direct in attack out wide, got his 13th of the season.

Leandro Trossard: 6 - Got involved in play and was direct when on the ball, looked disappointed to be replaced in the second half.

Bukayo Saka: 8.5 - Lively as ever on the ball, claimed two goals and an assist and was unplayable at times.

SUBS:

Kieran Tierney: 8 - Fantastic cameo from the fullback, got an assist shortly after coming on and showed his pace and composure when needed.
