Player Ratings: Arsenal make it two wins from two Champions League games

Goals from Gabi Martinelli and Bukayo Saka are enough to see off Olympiacos as Arsenal beat the Greek champions 2-0 at the Emirates

Find out who impressed with View From The Armchair's Player Ratings as Arsenal made it two wins from two to make them the only English team with a 100 per cent Champions League record so far.

David Raya  8.5/10 - 19 mins incredible save from a sweetly struck buddy holly, calm and composed all night, will be very happy to have kept clean sheet tonight, but for Odegaard could have been MOTM.

Myles Lewis Skelly: 8/10 - as if we forgot we have MLS in the wings, pipe down Rio, focus on your own batch of money grabbing youngsters, wafer thin offside call went in his favour on 67 mins, return to the team on the highest stage, clean sheet, bosh.

Ben White: 7.5/10 - will be delighted to get some minutes under his belt, solid strong hard as nails performance, will be equally happy to have got off the pitch on 57mins as he was skinned a minute before clean sheet intact.

Gabriel: 7.5/10 - calm and confident, limped off along the touchline to warm applause on 74 minute for Mosquera to underline the depth of the squad, and proving its importance again. Let's hope his injury isn't too serious.

William Saliba: 7.5/10 - confident and calm, amazing news this week with the new contract, sent ripples of confidence through the team it seems as a result. And a clean sheet to boot. A good week for a great player, one who could well become an Arsenal legend. Let's hope so

Martin Zubimendi: 8/10 - super rapid pace with the passing right from the off, took a yellow card for the team on 61 mins, fantastic baller who shows his importance to this team with every game

Martin Odegaard: 9/10 - the skipper was purring from the off tonight, masterful use of the ball whenever it came near him, always looking to bring Gyokeres into play. Simply wonderful to watch.

Mikel Merino: 7.5/10 - what a delight to be able to give Declan Rice a rest on a Champions League night, bonus point for being even more invisible yet efficient than usual.

Leo Trossard: 7.5/10 - busy, bustling, bombing Belgian, a decent night's work from our diminutive silver haired goal machine. Subbed off on 74 mins.

Viktor Gyokeres: 7.5/10 - desperately unlucky to not add to his goal tally for the Gunners tonight, toiled and covered every inch of grass, better days to come surely but his hard work will ultimately pay off soon.

Gabi Martinelli: 8/10 - a poachers' instinct to finish off Gyokeres' good work with a tap in off the post to make it 1-0. Had a good game over on the right until replaced by Saka.

Substitues:

Declan Rice  7.5/10 - came on 57 minutes, able to put a flourish on a crisp determined team performance, job well done, bosh.

Jurrien Timber: 7.5/10 - Subbed on for Ben White on 57 minutes. Solid. A powerhouse of a player, who adds unbelievable depth to the squad.

Bukayo Saka: 8/10 - a crisp one two with the skipper and it’s through the legs of the keeper for 2-0. Starboy calmed the nerves and put the cherry on a fine performance for the Gunners.

Eberechie Eze: 7/10 - late introduction on for Trossard, little chance to put his stamp on the game.

Mosquera: 7.5/10 - on for the injured Gabriel to help a strong backline keep its clean sheet intact

View From The Armchair Arsenal crowd watch: Good lord where did they get this batch from tonight? Madam Tussaud’s leftovers?

You’ve been offered up a beautiful dish of crisp passing and attacking free flowing football and it’s been a snooze fest on the stands through my telly, must be better, louder - becasue the team's performance deserved more tonight.

Glad that most of the people who slipped off before the end missed Saka’s goal and will be wishing they could and should have watched it on the telly like me.

Let’s hope for a more fired up crowd for the next hurdle, we go again, COYG!
