Arsenal lost 4-3 against Atletico Madrid during their UEFA Youth League clash at Meadow Park on Tuesday lunchtime.
Despite Max Dowman netting two penalties, the Young Guns fell to a last-minute winner to the Spanish vistors.
Harrison Dudziak put the Young Gunners ahead early on before Atletico's No8 Sergio Vinatea levelled for the visitors.
That was before 15-year-old teenage prodigy Max Dowman coolly slotted home his penalty, to put the Young Guns 2-1 before half time.
As if to underline his quality, Dowman played a superb ball through to Andre Annous moments before the interval, whose shot struck the Atletico keeper’s head before flying the wrong side of the post.
Undeterred, the visitors struck with two goals in as many mintues after the break, first with No9 Sergio Esteban successfully scoring his penalty on 55 minutes, prior to Madrid U19 substitute Ruben Gomez puts his side 3-2 ahead, as he and his teammates celebrated wildly.
Dowman then scored his second penalty of the match, to level the scores at 3-3.
However, practically from the kick-off, Madrid's U19 Jesus Barrios put the visitors ahead once again a matter of moments after Dowman’s second spot kick of the game to make it 4-3 to the visitors.
