Find out who impressed with View From The Armchair's Three Lions Player Ratings
Jordan Pickford: 8/10 - no bawling, or barking, nor snarling, just focussed, concentrated, never ever seen him put a foot wrong in England colours
Ezri Konsa: 8/10 - with an assist, and a cool calm impressive demeanour at the back against this wales outfit tonight.
Marc Guehi: 8/10 - booked on 34 mins, to sit nicely alongside his 2 assists, cements his place at the heart of the defence in this England team, always solid.
John Stones: 7.5/10 - easy night's work, clean sheet intact as he is replaced by our very own Myles Lewis-Skelly on 79 mins, largely untested all night long.
Djed Spence: 8/10 - looked good down the left flank, created spaces and move the ball well, booked on 72 minutes, showed his versatility when switched to the right flank late on
Elliot Anderson: 8/10 - I know it’s a friendly but no one has told the Welsh they are allowed to make a tackle here at Wembley, good nights work at the base of the midfield.
Declan 'We Got Him Half Price' Rice (c): 8/10 - named captain for the night, job done by half time in this friendly, subbed on 69 minutes, no injuries awesome.
Bukayo Saka: 8/10 - scores a trademark Starboy goal as he cuts inside and hits a pearler top bins past the keeper to make it 3-0 after only 20 mintues gone in the first half, close to being MOTM.
Morgan Rogers: 8/10 - scored the opener on three mins with a cool slide rule first touch finish, looked calm and assured all night and gets his just rewards with a clean sheet.
Anthony Gordon: 8.5/10 - ran riot all night, suprised he’s not been given a key to the city to go along with the freedom he’s enjoyed on this pitch as Wales capitulate in the first half, much the same in the second half, my MOTM.
Ollie Watkins: 7.5/10 - cracked his shins on the post as he missed an open goal on 41 minutes. Prior to that he banged in Englands second on the goal from right on the line after a mere 11 mins. Subbed off at half time for Rashford with his work done in Harry Kane's absence
Substitutes:
Marcus Rashford: 7/10 - Was he in the mood for it? In a nutshell no, didn’t see him once he introduced at the interval.
Morgan Gibbs-White: 7/10 - proper nothing burger of a cap, will look nice in the cabinet at home though well played Sir.
Jarrod Bowen: 7/10 - another one to be able to boast about getting a cap, for king, for Country.
Jordan Henderson: 7/10 - we'll be getting James Milner back at this rate, sorry it’s a no from me for Henderson in an England team, fine pro, great servant, but no.
Ruben Loftus Cheek: 7/10 - plying his trade in the streets of Milan at the San Siro, will be happy he’s not been forgotten. Job done, 3-0 for a comfortable win over the Welsh dragons tonight.
Myles Lewis Skelly: 7:10 - bought into the fray on 79 minutes. Little time to impress, but always love to see him getting minutes all the same.
View From The Armchair Verdict:
That’s a wrap from the armchair, a comprehensive 3-0 demolition job on the Welsh powered by Arsenal duo Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka - with the former being stand-in captain. Always enjoyable, onto the next one which has some meaning to it, as we tackle Latvia away on Tuesday. Let’s go England.
