By Noah Miller at Joie Stadium
Arsenal's U 21s were knocked out of the Premier League 2 play-offs by Manchester City after losing 3-2 in extra time.
Khayon Edwards gave the Young Guns an early lead before Louie Copley added a second shortly after the interval to make it 2-0.
However, Ashton Muir pulled one back with 15 minutes remaining before Lakyle Samuel levelle at the end of the second half to take the clash to extra-time.
Divin Mubama was City's hero after netting the winner with only 14 minutes to go to send City to the semi-finals.
Find out which Arsenal youngsters impressed with our Player Ratings from the Joie Stadium
Khari Ranson - 4 - Conceded three goals, both of which he was rooted to the spot. Assured with everything else he had to do on the day. Made a great save to deny a City goal before
Michal Rosiak - 5 - Made a number of powerful runs down the flanks which troubled the city defenders.
Marcell Washington - 5 - Was the weaker of the two Arsenal defenders after a season where Maldini Kacurri played against senior opposition. The partnership did not quite work due to a lack of fluidity and understanding.
Maldini Kaccuri - 7 - Showed his strength and power after a season playing for Bromley in League Two. Out muscled the Manchester City wingers he was tasked with.
Will Sweet - 5 - Put in a good shift, was solid and reliable. He was not as influential in proceedings as he would have liked.
Jack Henry-Francis - 7 - Dictated proceedings as Arsenal’s captain in the middle. Made things happen and clearly the experienced head in a young Arsenal U21s side.
Ismeal Kabia - 6 - Technically good until the end product, which he lacked. Had a few good runs into the centre of the pitch and not afraid to take on his man.
Louie Copley - 9 - Seems to have got his own trademark finish… already. The same finish we saw against Manchester United in the FA Youth Cup.
Khayon Edwards - 7 - Good but not as influential in proceedings as Copley. Started fast with an instinctive striker’s finish after just 45 seconds.
Salah Oulad M’Hand - 7 - Was one of Arsenal’s main creative assets in the match. Been around the U21s scene for a while.
Charles Sagoe Jr - 6 - Quiet performance for his standards at this level. Got the assist early on but was not as prolific as he needed to be.
Substitute:
Harrison Dudziak - 5 - Did not get long enough to make an impact in the match.
Seb Ferdinand - 5 - Had better games for Arsenal but did not have enough time to make a difference.
Andre Harriman-Annous - 5 - Not yet at the level at Khayon Edwards offered. Was not able to make a difference despite a long shift as Arsenal’s number nine.
