Player ratings:

Sabrina D’Angelo 6.5/10

Claimed crosses well in a confident outing. Made a superb full-stretch save to deny Bunny Shaw’s header.

Katie McCabe 6/10

Returned to the side following a one-game suspension, and battled constantly with Chloe Kelly and Lauren Hemp. Never a dull moment for the Ireland skipper!

Lotte Wubben-Moy 5.5/10

Lucky not to concede a penalty for what looked like an elbow on Shaw in the first half. Missed the header when Kelly’s free kick was converted by Aleixandri from close-range.

Leah Williamson 7/10

Defended strongly against the likes of Shaw, Kelly and Hemp. Cleared Shaw’s header off the line in the second half in a strong display for the England captain. Replaced in the 77th minute by Laia Codina.

Emily Fox 6.5/10

Made positive runs forward on the right, using her rapid pace to start counter-attacks.

Kyra Cooney-Cross 6.5/10

Hard-working and brave on the ball. A neat and tidy display.

Victoria Pelova 6/10

Imposing in midfield, winning duels against the physical Shaw. Curled a shot wide at the start of the second half from the edge of the box.

Caitlin Foord 6/10

Looked to stretch the defence and get in behind, the subject of some touch and go offside decisions.

Frida Maanum 6/10

Given a rare start in a young Arsenal midfield and came flying out of the blocks with some aggressive tackles.

Beth Mead 5.5/10

Starved of service at times, marked closely by Leila Ouhabi.

Alessia Russo 6/10

Struggled to hold up the ball due to a lack of support upfront. A couple of half-chances in the second half.

Steph Catley (Sub, 66’) 5.5/10

Worked hard at left-back, replacing McCabe.

Stina Blackstenius (Sub, 66’) 5/10

Unable to make an impact upfront. Headed an effort straight at Keating late on.

Laia Codina (Sub, 77’)

Lia Walti (Sub, 77’)

Kim Little (Sub, 83’)

Subs not used: Manu Zinsberger, Naomi Williams, Cloe Lacasse.
