Find out who impressed with View From The Armchair's Player Ratings after Arsenal won 3-0 at Slavia Prague

David Raya: 8/10 - Happy to see that penalty overturned as the clean sheet run continues.

Jurrien Timber: 8/10 - if you defend well against us, you are gonna give away corners, that is where the problems begin for the opposing teams, frightening aura this fella has.

William Saliba: 7.5/10 - with the whole team determined to keep the clean sheet and set a club record that stretches back to 1903, it makes this a comfortable nights work at the back for our No2 Rolls Royce

Gabriel : 8/10 always a threat from the corners, and we haven’t been short of them here, imperious at the back as the records start to tumble, simply magnificent.

Piero Hincapie: 7/10 - put in a shift down the left, and it’s just fantastic to see this squad being rotated in this fashion, replaced as Arsenal save tired legs for another outing of which there are many.

Declan Rice: 8/10 - pulling the strings as Set Piece FC find their groove, and feel their way into the game, beautiful lofted ball for Merino’s second of the night, got better and better as the game wore on, rested with 10 minutes left, another sterling performance.

Christian Norgaard: 8/10 - a chance to impress in Europe tonight, linked well with Rice and will be grateful of the opportunity to find his rhythm on the ball. Got to complete 90 minutes which will do his confidence no harm whatsoever.

Ethan Nwaneri: 7/10 - yellow carded on 23 minutes, replaced by Eze on 64 minutes, quiet game by his standards tonight but didn’t let anyone down.

Leo Trossard: 8/10 - looked dangerous early on, provided the assist for Merino’s opening goal, took a whack and dead leg on 65 minutes, replaced soon after by record breaker Max Dowman, the Belgian bomber did good again tonight.

Mikel Merino: 8.5/10 - makeshift striker for the night, 36 seconds into the second half it’s 2-0 with a clinical near post finish, deft header on 67 minutes and it’s 3-0, super invisible again, yet super efficient, he’s our star performer tonight for me and my MOTM.

Bukayo Saka (c): 8/10 - 20 minutes in Arsenal's Starboy gets our first shot on target. Named as captain for the night, 32 minutes it’s a penalty - coolly dispatched bottom left corner to make it 1-0. Can be proud of his performance tonight as captain.

Substutues:

Eberechie Eze: 7.5/10 - given what appears to be a War and Peace set of instructions from the gaffer as he enters the fray, nods in agreement, proceeds to do Eze things once introduced. I want to see him get the minutes until he finds his best form, period, end of, he will deliver for us in a massive game, it’s coming.

Max Dowman: 7/10 - makes history tonight coming onto the pitch in a Champions League appearance as a 15 year old, incredible.

Myles Lewis Skelly: 7/10 - he needs the minutes allegedly, he’s getting them, on the highest stage no less.  Yellow carded on 79 minutes, his most notable contribution.

Ben White: 7.5/10 - replaced Timber with Arsenal 3-0 to the good and the job done, it just remains to preserve the clean sheet, gives away a penalty which is never a penalty, shocking, this needs overturning surely? Sing Hosannahs it is, no penalty woohoo - didn’t get skinned or nutmegged.

Andre Harriman-Annous: 7/10 - is this 4-4-2 for the last 10 minutes? Surely not, a throwback as super half price Dec gets a rest. No it’s not as Merino shows his versatility and slots into midfield.

View From The Armchair Champions League Verdict:

That’s a wrap from the armchair as Arsenal register another clean sheet and pick up three points on the road, with the Premier League outfit just too organised for Slavia to get anything for their efforts tonight despite a strong early start.

Eight clean sheets on the bounce as Arsenal throttle Slavia like a Boa Constrictor on steroids. One shot registered against, Arsenal lead the pack in Europe, and if you are out in Prague, like the editor Layth is tonight, it’s a long night ahead sipping beers thanks to the early kick off, go safe Gooners, safe travels home. We go again!
