Player Ratings Spurs 1-4 Arsenal: North London Is Red
Arsenal thrash Spurs 4-1 for the second time this season: Here's View From The Armchair's Player Ratings
David Raya: 8/10 - Premier Leagues finest libero, loses the clean sheet 24 seconds after the restart from our goal, it’s 1-1, unbelievable that, Spurs have not been in this game at all, costly mistake from Rice in the build up, 83 minutes he pulls off the save of the season, the kind of save that is the difference between first and second place, huge huge moment in the title race.
Jurrien Timber: 7/10 - is he running out of puff or can he still deliver the goods for us this season, gets a yellow card on 27 mins after giving away possession sloppily, makes way for Mosquera on 57 mins.
William Saiba: 8/10 - 16 mins the ball desperately spins the wrong side of the post from his header on the 6 yard line from a corner after more good work from Gyokeres who kept it in play, played his part in a defensive rearguard action although it is worth noting that this spurs team have been historically bad today and are in very real danger of relegation it would appear lol.
Gabriel: 8/10 - keen to avoid any more catastrophic blunders for the rest of the season, Gary Neville is a bit too keen on the comms looking for disciplinary action from VAR for my liking, performed well against a comically bad Tottenham team, clearly no bias here from the armchair lol.
Piero Hincapie: 7/10 - this game should not be 1-1 at all, not through any fault of our Ecuadorean right back, thankfully the boys put their foot on the pedal in the second half and put a fair bit of distance between us and disgrace and or calamity.
Martin Zubimendi: - 8/10 top drawer in possession covering the back four again today in a familiar line up, 4-1 away win, at your arch rivals, that is how you send a message, magnificent stuff today from the boys.
Declan Rice: 8/10 - gave the ball away too easily for spurs equaliser, which is massively disappointing as he has been the engine for us in midfield we have needed today before that, he won’t mind as the final score goes and it’s 4-1 away from home.
Bukayo Saka: 8/10 - taken more than one whack for the cause as Arsenal dominate all the possession in the first half hour, supplies Eze with the assist for our opener, involved in most of our attacking threat today, simply wonderful day to be a gooner.
Ebere Eze: 9/10 - not a game that he or Arsenal can afford to let slip by today, right place tight time on 32 mins again against spurs, scissor volley on the 6 yard box, with his first shot on target since his heroics at the emirates against the same opposition, delightful touch for the highlight reel as he leaves a spurs defender in his wake on 50 mins, Eze is creating chances we need with sublime threaded passes today, 60 minutes it’s 3-1, away at Spurs, he’s on course for his 2nd hat trick against them, the ball falls kindly for him, he won’t care at all, subbed off with ass used legend status achieved on 75 mins.
Leo Trossard: 8/10 - the game seems to have passed him by in the first half, unable to maintain any sort of possession of the ball where he can hurt the opposition, until 40 mins when he squirrels one close past the post for another corner, decent reactive shot that, got better as the game wore on, subbed off on 75mins.
Viktor Gyokoeres: 9.5/10 - early header on 3 minutes, our first chance of the game as the boo’s ring out, 6 mins, he created space for himself in the left channel and goes very close, he’s already shown more here than he did at wolves in the week, soon thereafter Arsenal’s early momentum is curtailed by by a linesman with no microphone I jest you not, hustling and bustling first half display from the Gyok here today. 46 mins, he writes himself into Arsenal Folklore with that finish 2-1, from the edge of the box, one touch, bam it’s in the back of the net, what a goal, what a great time to score, 94 minutes he cements his place as my POTM, And a place in every gooners hearts forever with his 2nd goal of the day, the complete performance today, 4-1 away at your arch enemy, Ave it COYG !
Substitutes:
Christian Mosquera: 7/10 - comes on for Jurrien Timber on 56 minutes, his fresh long legs can only be a good thing, the clock ticks down, and the stands empty as Arsenal continue their stranglehold on this match today, dominant performance all round from everyone today,
Martin Odegaard: 7/10 - on for Trossard, 75 mins, I’d love to see some warmth and love for Odegaard from the terraces and the keyboards, hes a wonderful player we should be happy to have playing for us, we need to rebuild his confidence, we owe him that at least
Gabriel Martinelli: 7/10 - on for the Arsenal hero Eze, who deserves a statue already for his performances against spurs alone this season from my view point, Noni Madueke: 7/10 replaces a tired beaten up kicked all over the park Saka on 90 minutes, who almost takes a lap of honour as he departs, peak sh*thousery and I just love to see it.
