West Ham 3-1 Arsenal: Player Ratings

A Ben White own goal along with Mohammed Kudus and Jarrod Bowen strikes saw the Irons ease into the Carabao Cup quarter-finals on a miserable evening for under-par Arsenal

Read on for our Player Ratings from the East End on a night to forget for the Gunners

AARON RAMSDALE - 5.5

Did not do his cause any good in the Ramsdale/Raya debate

BEN WHITE - 4

Own goal to cap an underwhelming performance from the normally reliable Arsenal defender

GABRIEL - 5.5

Struggled to keep the lively Jarrod Bowen quiet after the West Ham man never let the Gunners backline settle

Showed his quality to deny Kudus at the back post with a vital headed clearance, but did not have his best night at the Olympic Stadium, or whatever it is they call it these days

JAKUB KIWIOR - 5

Crucial deflection - albeit a small one - helped flummox Ramsdale for Bowen's goal. Great Arsenal centre-backs stand up in difficult games. Kiwior was simply average. Again

OLEKSANDR ZINCHENKO - 5

Mastered by Edson Alvarez, who dealt with him impressively when he tried to come into midfield.

Slack for Kudus' goal as he failed to get tight on his man to seal another disappointing display from the former City man

JORGINHO - 4

Paqueta's movement was too much for the far more static Gunners, while Bowen's movement between the lines on and off the ball meant the former Chelsea midfielder was off the pace once again

FABIO VIEIRA - 5

MIssed a huge opportunity to stake a claim for a regualr first team slot. We know the talented Portuguese midfielder has creativity in abundance, but when that talent is shackled, his lack of physicality is stark, and as such offers little defensively

KAI HAVERTZ - 4

Denied by Lukasz Fabianski with a first half header as the game largely passed him by

REISS NELSON - 6

Arsenal's most potent attacker, which probably isn't saying that much on a miserable evening for The Arsenal

EDDIE NKETIAH - 5

Headed over when well-placed as he failed to build on his weekend treble agains the Blades

LEANDRO TROSSARD - 4

Larely anonymous alas

SUBSTITUTES

DECLAN RICE (FOR JORGINHO, 57) - 6

A world class player who has already signifcantly improved  in the short time since he left East London.

Sad to see him booed by so many, so often. Although every Hammer will tell you they cheered him. But then what do you expect from Irons fans still bitter at losing their best player despite being paid handsomely for him

TAKEHIRO TOMIYASU (FOR ZINCHENKO, 57) - 6

BUKAYO SAKA (FOR NELSON, 66) - 5.5

GABRIEL MARTINELLI (FOR TROSSARD, 66) - 5.5
