PSG vs Arsenal: It's only half time - let's believe and make it happen
Let’s keep Champions League dream alive says loyal Gooner Tia Thorne: We're still in this, believe
Unfortunately, Tuesday night wasn’t meant to be, writes Tia Thorne
An early goal from Dembélé has slightly nudged my hopes and dreams of lifting that long-awaited Champions League trophy.
It was a tough one to take, especially after all the build-up and excitement leading into the match.
The tension, the anticipation, the belief — it all felt like something special was on the cards. And while it didn’t go our way on the night, the journey is far from over.
Because the biggest positive is — it’s only half-time.
There are still 90-plus minutes to go, and this incredible football club still has everything to fight for.
We are only 1-0 down heading into the second leg, and that’s a scoreline that can absolutely be turned around. I’m not giving up. I’m still believing. I won’t stop until that final whistle blows in Paris— because history is still there to be made. One game. One moment. One goal. That’s all it takes to flip the momentum and shift the story.
Tuesday was hard. That early goal was the absolute worst start we could have imagined. The Emirates was electric before kickoff. It felt like something special was about to happen.
Unfortunately, the goal silenced us far too soon. But that can’t be the end. We can’t stop. We won’t stop. This team has given us so much already — and now it’s our turn to give everything back.
The relief felt when Mikel Merino put us level on the night was bliss, VAR had another idea for us though, but that is proof, we can get at this PSG side, keep remembering its only one goal against us so far.
We have to bring the noise again, support the team relentlessly, and stand behind the players and Mikel until the very last second.
This campaign has already given us some unforgettable memories, and we’ve got one more night — one more shot — to make it even more special.
Yes, the second leg in Paris will be tough — we know that. But why can’t we do it? We’ve gone to the Bernabéu. We’ve stood tall in Europe’s biggest stadiums. We’ve shown heart, resilience, and belief.
Get that early goal, turn up the pressure, and anything is possible.
We’re still in this. I believe. We all should.
Let’s keep the dream alive.
Up the Arsenal.
