Chloe Kelly was full of praise for teammate Olivia Smith as the 21-year-old continued her goalscoring form in Arsenal Women’s 4-0 win over OH Leuven.
Smith finished a flowing team move to double Arsenal’s first half lead, playing upfront for the Gunners for the second game in a row in the absence of Stina Blackstenius
“Two games, two goals, so she's doing something right,” Kelly told the Gooner Fanzine. “I think it just puts her in really good positions to score. She's a natural goal threat, so I think it's amazing to see her shining, both on the wing and the nine- she's amazing for us.
“She brings something so different as well and to be so clinical in front of goal. Two goals, two games”
Asked by the Gooner about how she and her teammates picked Smith up after her red card in the League Cup defeat to Manchester United, Kelly said “I think you don't really need to do too much.
“I think she knows what went wrong in that moment and you're soon over it because you learn straight away as soon as you're walking away from the pitch.
“She's an amazing young girl, amazing character as well, and she's got the world at her feet. She's a good girl and I enjoy playing with her. Both on and off the pitch, she's incredible. We can learn from each other as well, so I can always learn from her.”
