Six changes from Aston Villa defeat: Brighton Women v Arsenal team news

Alessia Russo, Leah Williamson and Kim Little are among the players returning to the starting eleven




Arsenal Women have made six changes from Wednesday’s 5-2 defeat against Aston Villa as the Gunners travel to Crawley to take on Brighton and Hove Albion.

Manu Zinsberger remains in goal with Arsenal taking no chances on Daphne van Domselaar less than two weeks before the Champions League final.

In defence, Leah Williamson and Emily Fox replace Lotte Wubben-Moy and Katie Reid, with Kim Little partnering Mariona Caldentey in central midfield.

Caitlin Foord replaces Chloe Kelly, who drops to the bench, out wide, as Beth Mead keeps her place on the opposite flank. Frida Maanum starts ahead of Victoria Pelova, with Alessia Russoo upfront.

Jenna Nighswonger replaces Reid in the squad, with Rosa Kafaji not involved again.

Arsenal: Zinsberger; McCabe, Catley, Williamson, Fox; Mariona, Little; Foord, Maanum, Mead; Russo.
