Islington Foodbank continues its regular food drives at all Arsenal home games.

This includes the Premier League clash between Arsenal and Luton Town, kick-off 730pm, on Wesdnesday, April 3.

Volunteers will be accepting donations of food and toiletries in a hub by the Tony Adams statue near the restrooms.

Islington Foodbank and Arsenal

Since beginning their partnership more than five years ago, Arsenal supporters have helped thousands of Islington residents who access the Foodbank’s services each year.

“Our long-term collaboration with Arsenal and the generous donations from Gunners fans has enabled us to support those in our community who need it most," explains Chi Ifeacho from Islington Foodbank.

"As demand continues to grow through these uncertain economic times, we’re truly grateful for every donation we receive at both the men’s and women’s teams Emirates matches.

"It’s great to see both teams doing so well, and the generosity of all the fans in attendance.”

Islington Foodbank Working with The Arsenal

The Foodbank has been working closely with Arsenal staff to arrange pre-match publicity asking Gunners fans to buy food and toiletries in advance, aiming to see fans dropping off hundreds of items at the collection points when they arrive.

These donations will go towards the hundreds of kilogrammes of food and toiletries the Foodbank gives out to clients each week.

Since launching in 2011 Islington Foodbank has seen a year-on-year increase in demand.

Last year the Foodbank served nearly 5,500 people.

All food and other items it distributes come from donations, of which food drives like this are the main source.

“We’re really pleased at the support we’ve had so far from fans, some of whom are going to be helping us out with the collection on the day. We hope lots more Gooners will be generous enough to bring something along for the Foodbank”, added Chi.
