We’re now into the second week of the January transfer window, and speculation is heating up as sides look to recruit.

Arsenal have had their fair share of transfer talk so far this month, with Mykhailo Mudryk being the name stealing the headlines when it comes to the Gunners’ moves this window.

The Ukrainian has been clear on social media of his desires to make the move to North London after Arsenal’s opening offer to Shakhtar Donetsk was rejected for being too low.

The Gunners have reportedly since made a second bid, which is still in talks over, however with Chelsea’s interest simmering down, it looks as though the young forward only wants Arsenal.

Mikel Arteta has kept his cards close to his chest on the transfer talk so far, however spoke about the possibility of recruiting this month following Arsenal’s win over Oxford United in the FA Cup on Monday night.

“The problem is we only have one [striker], and to go for that many months until Gabriel Jesus is back is not easy. We have to get the most out of the players that we have at the moment and if we can have some reinforcements, great.”

Arsenal were reportedly monitoring the situation with Portuguese starlet Joao Felix, who looks to be heading to Chelsea on an extortionate loan deal that’s believed to be costing around the £9.5m mark for less than a season’s loan.

There’s time for Arsenal to get the jobs done that need to be sealed, however with tough fixtures coming thick and fast, it will be desired for business to be closed sooner rather than later.
