Auba set for big-money deal

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang's contract saga could finally be coming to an end, with Arsenal reportedly preparing a big-money deal for the striker.

According to The Telegraph, the Gunners are putting the final touches on a £250,000-a-week contract offer which will be presented to the club's captain in the coming days.

It is also believed that Arsenal need to convince Aubameyang of their plans to return to the top four in order to secure his signature.

The Gabon international has a year left on his current deal and is attracting interest from Europe's elite clubs.

Gazidis decision gives Gunners Szoboszlai boost

Arsenal have been handed a boost in the pursuit of Red Ball Salzburg star Dominik Szoboszlai after AC Milan's move to make Ralf Rangnick their new manager collapsed.

The Milan hierarchy - which includes ex-Gunners chief executive Ivan Gazidis - decided against appointing the German who was keen on bringing Szoboszlai to the San Siro.

The midfielder was keen to work with Rangnick, but I Rossoneri's decision means Mikel Arteta could now have a free run at the 19-year-old Hungarian sensation, who has a reported €25 million release clause in his contract.

With 12 goals and 18 assists in 40 games across all competitions this season, Szoboszlai could well add the creative spark Arsenal have been lacking.

Celtic sensation and Arsenal target 'has a price'

The Gunners have been given hope in their battle to sign Celtic striker Odsonne Edouard after Hoops boss Neil Lennon admitted the Frenchman 'has a price'.

The 22-year-old has drawn admiring glances from clubs across Europe after netting 27 goals and assisting 19 in all competitions, but Arsenal are leading the race for his signature according to Sky Sports.

Addressing the reported interest in his star striker, Celtic boss Lennon said: "It is difficult to say, particularly in this climate currently, that a player is not going anywhere, because everyone has a price.

"Ideally we don’t want to sell our best players and we will remain steadfast on that."

Gunners set to battle for Benrahma

Brentford star Said Benrahma has admitted he is flattered by reports linking him with a move to Arsenal and Chelsea as the London rivals look set to do battle for the winger's signature.

The 24-year-old has led Brentford's Championship promotion charge with 17 goals this season, drawing interest from the Premier League.

Speaking to the Daily Mail about the rumours, Benrahma said: "I was really flattered.

"But I’m so focused on trying to get promotion with Brentford that I don’t want to pay too much attention. But, of course, it is giving me confidence.

"My progression is due to Brentford, they have given me a lot of confidence.

"I was not very confident when I was at Nice but now I am. It’s thanks to Brentford. So I’m going to fight to help take Brentford to the next step."

Starlet Sarr set for Serie A?

Arsenal look set to miss out on Nice defender Malang Sarr after the youngster reportedly opened talks with clubs in Germany and Italy.

The 21-year-old has been a rising star in Ligue 1 after making his debut for Les Aiglons at just 17, and he has now sparked a scramble for his signature after running down his contract at the Allianz Riviera.

Reports suggested the Gunners had been eyeing a move for Sarr, but they look set to miss out after he opened talks with unnamed Serie A and Bundesliga clubs according to Italian football journalist Fabrizio Romano.

Arsenal keen on 'next Ronaldo'

Back in 2002, Arsenal missed out on signing a young Cristiano Ronaldo. If reports are to be believed though, the Gunners are far from keen to make a similar mistake this summer.

According to Portuguese outlet A Bola, the north Londoners are weighing up triggering the £40 million release clause of Sporting Lisbon starlet Joelson Fernandes - dubbed the 'next Cristiano Ronaldo'.

The 17-year-old has progressed through Sporting's youth ranks and made his first-team debut last month, racking up a further three appearances since.

Arsenal could face a battle for his signature, with Barcelona and Juventus also keen on signing Fernandes.
