Summer transfer window 2025 dates: When does it open and close?

Deadline Day and Club World Cup window for Premier League

The Premier League transfer window opened on Sunday (June 1) and will run until Tuesday June 10 due to an exceptional registration period for the expanded Club World Cup.

It will then open again on Monday June 16 until Deadline Day on Monday September 1 - both summer windows will close at 7pm

The first part opens on Sunday, June 1 and closes on Tuesday, June 10,

This part will allow teams taking part in the Club World Cup to sign players before that tournament begins - but all Premier League clubs can trade during that time.

The second part will then open on Monday, June 16 and close at 7pm BST on Monday, September 1 for Premier League clubs.

The new Premier League campaign is set to begin on the weekend of Saturday, August 16.

Once the second part of the summer transfer window closes, clubs will not be able to buy or sell players again until Thursday, January 1, 2026.
