Cecily Wellesley-Smith has joined Women's Super League side Leicester City on loan for the 25/26 season

After signing her first professional contract with Arsenal in June this year, Wellesley-Smith has spent the summer as part of the preseason squad, but she will now join fellow WSL competitiors Leicester City.

Wellesley-Smith spent time on dual registration with Oxford United last season, and so making the move to a WSL team is a big step in terms of development for the young defender. 

She will join The Foxes on a season long loan.
