Arsenal are set to launch third bid for their preferred January transfer target, Brighton star Moises Caicedo.

The North Londoners have already seen a pair of bids turned down flat by the Seagulls.

Yet with a long term injury to Mohamed Elneny as well as doubt over Thomas Partey after the Ghana star picked up a rib injury during Arsenal's 1-0 FA Cup defeat to Manchester City on Friday, the Gunners are desperate to land their man.

Which means the Premier League leaders are prepared to smash their club transfer record of £72m that they paid out for Nicholas Pepe in the summer of 2019.

Arsenal are expected to put in an offer of around £75m - only £5m short of the figure the south ocast outfit originally demanded.
