Arsenal have confirmed that Mikel Arteta will once again be taking his squad to America for a pre-season tour. 

The Gunners have made a number of successful visits across the Atlantic over the last few years, with last summer's trip being hailed as a huge success. 

With so many passionate Gooners across the pond, the club has announced two Stateside pre-season fixtures.

The club said: "We’re heading to the USA again this summer where we’ll face Manchester United and Liverpool as part of our preparations for the 2024-25 season."

Arsenal will play Manchester United at SoFi Stadium, Los Angeles, on Saturday, July 27 - a year on from the North Londoners facing the Red Devils at a sold-out 82,000 MetLife Stadium in New Jersey back in July 2023.

Arteta's side will then travel to Philadelphia on the east coast to face Liverpool at Lincoln Financial Field on July 31, which will be the first time the sides will have played each other on American soil. 

Boss Arteta said: “It’s great to be visiting the US again this summer.

"Our matches against Manchester United and Liverpool will be great preparation ahead of the new season. 

"Our tour last year was a real success and it’s always an amazing experience to play in front of our passionate supporters in the US. We’re looking forward to returning and seeing everyone again.”

It is understood the club will announce a third fixture, with the match believed to be hosted in Las Vegas, at the Allegiant Stadium in Nevada, the home of the Las Vegas Raiders.

The stadium, which recently hosted Super Bowl LVIII, has a capacity of 65,000 and is located on the world famous Las Vegas strip.

Sporting Director Edu added: “Our plans for pre-season are taking great shape. Playing against two strong teams in great stadiums in front of so many of our supporters will provide Mikel and the squad with a strong test and great experience ahead of the new season.

“We know how great SoFi Stadium is after our sold-out match there last year. The facilities are incredible and we’re excited to return.

"We look forward to making further announcements about our trip soon.”
