Arsenal Women will sign a goalkeeper before the January transfer window closes at 11pm on Tuesday, the Gooner Fanzine understands.
Renee Slegers revealed in December that the club will look to bring in a goalkeeper, with Manu Zinsberger out for the season and Daphne van Domselaar only recently returning from a number of injury setbacks.
Anneke Borbe played through significant pain in games before Christmas while filling in for van Domselaar, and was stretchered off in the closing stages of Arsenal's Champions Cup final win over Corinthians after a collision.
Arsenal were linked with signing Hoffenheim number one Laura Dick, but the Gooner understands she will be staying with the German side. Hoffenheim are fifth in the Frauen Bundesliga, and Dick has aspirations to play for Germany at senior level.
Naomi Williams was recalled from her loan spell with Bristol City, but the introduction of another goalkeeper will see her move down the pecking order. 21-year-old Williams' contract is up at the end of the season.
Cecily Wellesley-Smith will spend the 2026 Damallsvenskan season with FC Rosengard, on loan from Arsenal- @GoonerFanzine ??https://t.co/T7CZowH5JJ
