Prologue
Arsenal take on Premier League rivals Newcastle United in the second match of the Singapore leg of their summer tour on Sunday.
Mikel Arteta's Gunners eased past AC Milan 1-0 on Wednesday at Singapore's National Stadium thanks to captain for the day Bukayo Saka's goal.
Eddie Howe's Magpies will be looking for a better result in the Far East, than their first pre-season match last week, when they were thrashed 4-0 by Celtic.
The Gunners will be looking for further success against a Newcastle team who have been rocked by Alexander Isak's unexpected public desire to explore a move to Liverpool.

Team news
Arsenal's precocious 15-year-old attacker Max Dowman featured against the San Siro outfit in Singapore last week, and could well come off the bench once again.
The Gunners have strengthened this summer and have just announced the signing of Cristhian Mosquera with Viktor Gyokeres to follow.
The 21-year-old former Valencia defender follows Martin Zubimendi, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Christian Norgaard and Noni Madueke in being added to Mikel Arteta's squad this summer, with the North London giants aiming to go one better after three successive Premier League runners-up finshes.
That is in stark contrast to the troubled Magpies, who will be without Isak, who has not travelled with the team to Singapore, and of course lacking the now departed Callum Wilson, leaving the Geordies considerably short up front.
Lewis Hall and Joelinton are easing their way back from long-term injuries, but everyone else is fit.
What the mangers say:
Mikel Arteta:
On facing Newcastle: "Again, it's going to be a very different opponent, very difficult context again to play with, and very good for our preparation to start making the right steps again."
Eddie Howe:
On his team's first few days in Singapore...
"It's been really good. The natural challenge is the traveling - it's not so bad for us as coaches but tougher for the players. But we arrived yesterday and had a good training session.
"It is hot, it is humid for the players. We trained again this morning - missed the rain, which is good - but so far so good. We're really enjoying it."
On Sunday's friendly against Arsenal at the Singapore National Stadium...
"There was a bit of fatigue in the training today. The heat was one thing but I think the players were still adjusting to time zones, so I think it's a definite advantage for Arsenal tomorrow, having been here for much longer than we have.
"But it's a pre-season game, so we just want to get certain bits from the game; we want to be fitter, we want to be tactically better. We're up against a really good opponent so I think the game's a great one for us in terms of how we perform.
"Still, I think, we're building towards our best levels. The most important thing is how we play against Aston Villa (on the first day of the season), not these games, but we need to get something from it."
