Arsenal win the European Championship as Gunners stars deservedly hailed for Lionesses glory 

Arsenal's Chloe Kelly and Alessia Russo have been named in the Euro 2025 Team of the Tournament, while teen star Michelle Ageymang picked the competition's best young player award. 

The Gunners Lionesses became two-time champions with Sunday’s penalty shootout win over Spain.

Russo scored the equaliser against the Spaniards during the nerve-wracking final in Basle on. Sunday evening to go with her earlier strike against Wales in the group stages.

Russo led all England players for goal involvements (two goals, three assists) with only Alexia Putellas registering more among all players.

While Kelly played a huge role after coming off the bench in the final, to score the decisive penalty. The 2022 Euro final matchwinner also helped England to their dramatic quarter-final victory over Sweden, as well as grabbing the last-gasp winner in the semi-final against Italy.

Despite Ageymang only playing 138 minutes of the entire competition, and did not start a single game, the precocious 19-year-old Arsenal forward was crucial to the Lionesses success.

The Essex-born striker scoring late equalisers against Sweden in the quarter-final, as well as Italy in the last four to boost Sarina Wiegman's side in Switzerland. 

Chosen by the UEFA Technical Observer Group, two other Lionesses made the best starting XI - young keeper Hannah Hampton, and the incredible Lucy Bronze, who somehow played the whole tournament with a fractured leg.

Irene Paredes, Elena Linari, Franziska Kett, Patricia Guijarro, Aitana Bonmati, Alexia Putellas and Jule Brand were also included.
